Revised Version 1895
Jeremiah 16:4-7
4They shall dieH4191 of grievous deaths; they shalt notH3808 be lamentedH5594, neitherH3808 shall they be buriedH6912; they shall be as dungH1828 uponH5921 the faceH6440 of the groundH776: and they shall be consumedH3615 by the swordH2719, and by famineH7458; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heavenH8064, and for the beastsH929 of the earthH776.
5For thusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, EnterH935 notH408 intoH935 the houseH1004 of mourningH4798, neitherH408 goH935 to lamentH5594, neitherH408 bemoan them: for I have takenH622 awayH622 my peaceH7965 from this peopleH5971, saith the LORDH3068, evenH3588 lovingkindness and tender merciesH7356.
6BothH4191 greatH1419 and smallH6996 shall dieH4191 in this landH776: they shall notH3808 be buriedH6912, neitherH3808 shall menH1419 lamentH5594 for them, norH3808 cutH1413 themselvesH1992, norH3808 makeH7139 themselvesH1992 baldH7139 for them:
7neitherH3808 shall men breakH6536 bread for them in mourningH60, to comfortH5162 them for the deadH4191; neitherH3808 shall men giveH8248 them the cupH3563 of consolationH8575 to drinkH8248 for their fatherH1 or for their motherH517.
