Revised Version 1895
Genesis 25:23-30
And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto herH559, TwoH8147 nationsH1471 are in thy wombH990, And twoH8147 peoplesH3816 shall be separatedH6504 even from thy bowelsH4578: And the one peopleH1471 shall be strongerH553 thanH7227 the otherH8147 peopleH1471; And the elder shall serveH5647 the youngerH6810.
And when herH4390 daysH3117 to be deliveredH3205 were fulfilledH4390, beholdH2009, there were twinsH8380 in herH4390 wombH990.
And the firstH7223 cameH3318 forthH3318 redH132, allH3605 over like an hairyH8181 garmentH155; and they calledH7121 his nameH8034 EsauH6215.
And afterH310 that cameH3318 forthH3318 his brotherH251, and his handH3027 had holdH270 on Esau’sH6215 heelH6119; and his nameH8034 was calledH7121 JacobH3290: and IsaacH3327 was threescore yearsH8141 oldH1121 when sheH7121 bare them.
And the boysH5288 grewH1431: and EsauH6215 was a cunning hunterH6718, a manH376 of the fieldH7704; and JacobH3290 was a plain manH376, dwellingH3427 in tentsH168.
NowH3588 IsaacH3327 lovedH157 EsauH6215, becauseH3588 he did eat of his venison: and RebekahH7259 lovedH157 JacobH3290.
And JacobH3290 sod pottage: and EsauH6215 cameH935 in from the fieldH7704, and he was faintH5889:
and EsauH6215 saidH559 to JacobH3290, Feed meH413, I prayH4994 thee, with that sameH2088 redH122 pottage; for I am faintH5889: therefore was his nameH8034 calledH7121 EdomH123.
