Revised Version 1895
Deuteronomy 19:4-7
4And this is the caseH1697 of the manslayerH7523, whichH834 shall fleeH5127 thither and live: whoso killeth his neighbour unawares, and hatedH8130 him notH3808 in time pastH8543;
5as when a manH4191 goeth intoH413 the forestH3293 with his neighbour to hew woodH6086, and his handH3027 fetcheth a stroke with the axeH1631 to cutH3772 downH3772 the treeH6086, and the headH1270 slippeth from the helve, and lighteth uponH935 his neighbour, that he dieH4191; he shall fleeH5127 unto one of theseH428 citiesH5892 and live:
6lestH6435 the avengerH1350 of bloodH1818 pursueH7291 the manslayerH7523, whileH1931 his heartH3824 is hot, and overtakeH5381 him, becauseH3588 the wayH1870 is longH5315, and smiteH5221 him mortally; whereas he was notH3808 worthyH4941 of deathH4194, inasmuch as he hatedH8130 him notH3808 in time pastH8543.
7Wherefore I commandH6680 thee, sayingH559, Thou shalt separateH914 threeH7969 citiesH5892 for thee.
