Deuteronomy 15:7-18
IfH3588 there be with thee a poorH34 manH259, one of thy brethrenH251, within anyH259 of thy gatesH8179 in thy landH776 whichH834 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 giveth thee, thou shalt notH3808 hardenH553 thine heartH3824, norH3808 shutH7092 thine handH3027 from thy poorH34 brotherH251:
but thou shalt surelyH3588 openH6605 thine handH3027 unto him, and shalt surelyH3588 lendH5670 him sufficientH1767 for his needH4270 in that whichH834 he wanteth.
BewareH8104 that there be notH3808 a baseH1100 thoughtH559 in thine heartH3824, sayingH559, The seventhH7651 yearH8141, the yearH8141 of release, is at handH5414; and thine eyeH5869 be evilH1100 againstH5921 thy poorH34 brotherH251, and thou giveH5414 him nought; and he cryH7121 unto the LORDH3068 againstH5921 thee, and it be sinH2399 unto thee.
Thou shalt surelyH3588 giveH5414 him, and thine heartH3824 shall notH3808 be grieved when thou givest unto him: becauseH3588 that for this thingH1697 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 shall blessH1288 thee in allH3605 thy workH4639, and in allH3605 that thou puttest thine handH3027 unto.
For the poorH6041 shall neverH3808 ceaseH2308 outH5921 of the landH776: therefore I commandH6680 thee, sayingH559, Thou shalt surelyH3588 openH6605 thine handH3027 unto thy brotherH251, to thy needyH34, and to thy poorH6041, in thy landH776.
IfH3588 thy brotherH251, an HebrewH5680 manH2670, or an HebrewH5680 womanH5680, be soldH4376 unto thee, and serveH5647 thee sixH8337 yearsH8141; then in the seventhH7637 yearH8141 thou shalt letH7971 him goH7971 freeH2670 from thee.
And when thou lettest him goH7971 freeH2670 from thee, thou shalt notH3808 letH7971 him goH7971 emptyH7387:
thou shalt furnishH6059 him liberallyH6059 out of thy flockH6629, and out of thy threshing-floor, and out of thy winepressH3342: as the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath blessedH1288 thee thou shalt giveH5414 unto him.
And thou shalt rememberH2142 that thou wast a bondman in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 redeemedH6299 thee: therefore I commandH6680 thee this thingH1697 todayH3117.
And it shall be, ifH3588 he sayH559 unto thee, I will notH3808 goH3318 outH3318 from thee; becauseH3588 he loveth thee and thine houseH1004, becauseH3588 he is wellH2895 with thee;
then thou shalt takeH3947 an awlH4836, and thrust it throughH3651 his earH241 unto the doorH1817, and he shall be thy servantH5650 for everH5769. And also unto thy maidservantH519 thou shalt doH6213 likewise.
It shall notH3808 seemH7185 hardH7185 unto thee, when thou lettest him goH7971 freeH2670 from thee; for to the doubleH4932 of the hireH7939 of an hireling hath he servedH5647 thee sixH8337 yearsH8141: and the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 shall blessH1288 thee in allH3605 that thou doest.
