And it happenedH1961 wheneverH3588 any of the survivorsH6412 of EphraimH669 saidH559, “Let me crossH5674 overH5674,” that the menH376 of GileadH1568 would sayH559 to him, “Are you an EphraimiteH673?” If he saidH559, “NoH3808,” 6then they would sayH559 to him, “JustH4994 sayH559, ‘ShibbolethH7642.’” But he saidH559, “SibbolethH5451,” for he was not 3preparedH3559 to 4pronounceH1696 it correctlyH3651. Then they seizedH270 him and slaughteredH7819 him at the crossingH4569 placesH4569 of the JordanH3383. So at that timeH6256 forty-twoH705H8147 thousandH505 from EphraimH669 fellH5307.
