Joshua 2:9-13

9and saidH559 to the menH376, “1I knowH3045 that the LordH3068 has givenH5414 you the landH776, and that the 2terrorH367 of you has fallenH5307 on us, and that allH3605 the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776 have despairedH4127 becauseH4480H6440 of you.

103For we have heardH8085 howH834 the LordH3068 driedH3001 upH3001 the waterH4325 of the 4RedH5488 SeaH3220 beforeH4480H6440 you when you cameH3318 outH3318 of EgyptH4714, and 5whatH834 you didH6213 to the twoH8147 kingsH4428 of the AmoritesH567 whoH834 were beyondH5676 the JordanH3383, to SihonH5511 and OgH5747, whomH834 you 6utterlyH2763 destroyedH2763.

11When we heardH8085 these reports, 7our heartsH3824 meltedH4549 and noH3808 8courageH7307 remainedH6965 in anyoneH376 anyH5750 longerH5750 becauseH4480H6440 of you; for the 9LordH3068 your GodH430, He is GodH430 in heavenH8064 aboveH4480H4605 and on earthH776 belowH4480H8478.

12NowH6258 then, pleaseH4994 swearH7650 to me by the LordH3068, sinceH3588 I have dealtH6213 kindlyH2617 with you, that you alsoH1571 will dealH6213 kindlyH2617 with my father’sH1 householdH1004, and giveH5414 me a 10pledgeH226 of 11truthH571,

13and 12spareH2421 my fatherH1 and my motherH517, and my brothersH251 and my sistersH269, and allH3605 whoH834 belong to them, and saveH5337 our 13livesH5315 from deathH4194.”
