Joshua 2:9-13
9and said to the men, “1I know that the Lord has given you the land, and that the 2terror of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land have despaired because of you.
103For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the 4Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and 5what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you 6utterly destroyed.
11When we heard these reports, 7our hearts melted and no 8courage remained in anyone any longer because of you; for the 9Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth below.
12Now then, please swear to me by the Lord, since I have dealt kindly with you, that you also will deal kindly with my father’s household, and give me a 10pledge of 11truth,
13and 12spare my father and my mother, and my brothers and my sisters, and all who belong to them, and save our 13lives from death.”
