2But it was toldH559 to the kingH4428 of JerichoH3405, sayingH559, “BeholdH2009, menH376 from the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 have comeH935 hereH2008 tonightH3915 to spyH2658 outH2658 the landH776.” 3And the kingH4428 of JerichoH3405 sentH7971 word to RahabH7343, sayingH559, “BringH3318 outH3318 the menH376 who have comeH935 to you, whoH834 have enteredH935 your houseH1004, for they have comeH935 to spyH2658 outH2658 allH3605 the landH776.” 4But the 1womanH802 had takenH3947 the twoH8147 menH376 and hiddenH6845 them, and she saidH559, “YesH3653, the menH376 cameH935 to me, but I did not knowH3045 whereH370 they were from. 5It cameH1961 aboutH1961, when it was time to shutH5462 the gateH8179 at darkH2822, that the menH376 wentH3318 outH3318; I do not knowH3045 whereH575 the menH376 wentH1980. PursueH7291 them quicklyH4118, for you will overtakeH5381 them.” 6But 2she had broughtH5927 them upH5927 to the roofH1406 and hiddenH2934 them in the stalksH6086 of flaxH6593 which she had laidH6186 inH6186 orderH6186 on the roofH1406. 7So the menH376 pursuedH7291 them on the roadH1870 to the JordanH3383, to the crossingH4569 placesH4569; and asH3512 soonH3512 asH3512 those who were pursuingH7291 them had goneH3318 outH3318, they shutH5462 the gateH8179.
