Ezekiel 29:6-16

6Then allH3605 the inhabitantsH3427 of EgyptH4714 will knowH3045 that I am the LordH3068, BecauseH3282 they have beenH1961 only a 1staffH4938 made of reedH7070 to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478.7When they tookH8610 holdH8610 of you with the handH3709, You 2brokeH7533 and toreH1234 allH3605 their 3handsH3802; And when they leanedH8172 on you, You brokeH7665 and made allH3605 their hipsH4975 4shakeH4571.”

8‘ThereforeH3651 the LordH136 GodH3068 saysH559 thisH3541: “BeholdH2009, I am going to 5bringH935 upon you a swordH2719, and I will cutH3772 offH3772 from you humanH120 and animalH929 life. 9The 6landH776 of EgyptH4714 will becomeH1961 a desolationH8077 and placeH2723 ofH2723 ruinsH2723. Then they will knowH3045 that I am the LordH3068.

“BecauseH3282 7you 8saidH559, ‘The NileH2975 is mine, and I have madeH6213 it,’ 10thereforeH3651, beholdH2009, I am 9againstH413 you and againstH413 your 10canalsH2975, and I will makeH5414 the landH776 of EgyptH4714 an utterH2721 wasteH2721 and desolationH8077, from MigdolH4024 to SyeneH5482 and as farH5704 as the borderH1366 of 11CushH3568. 11A humanH120 footH7272 will 12not passH5674 through it, norH3808 will the footH7272 of an animalH929 passH5674 through it, and it will not be inhabitedH3427 for fortyH705 yearsH8141. 12So I will makeH5414 the landH776 of EgyptH4714 a desolationH8077 in the 13midstH8432 of desertedH8074 landsH776. And her citiesH5892, in the midstH8432 of citiesH5892 that are laidH2717 wasteH2717, will be desolateH8077 for fortyH705 yearsH8141; and I will 14scatterH6327 the EgyptiansH4714 among the nationsH1471 and disperseH2219 them among the landsH776.”

13‘For thisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH136 GodH3068 saysH559: “At the endH7093 of fortyH705 yearsH8141 I will 15gatherH6908 the EgyptiansH4714 from the peoplesH5971 16amongH8033 whomH834 they were scatteredH6327. 14And I will restoreH7725 the fortunesH7622 of EgyptH4714 and bringH7725 them backH7725 to the landH776 of 17PathrosH6624, to the landH776 of their originH4351, and thereH8033 they will be a lowlyH8217 kingdomH4467. 15It will be the 18lowestH8217 of the kingdomsH4467, and it will not raiseH5375 itself aboveH5921 the nationsH1471 againH5750. And I will makeH4591 them smallH4591 soH1115 thatH1115 they willH1115 notH1115 19ruleH7287 overH5921 the nationsH1471. 16And it will noH3808 longerH5750 be a kingdom onH4009 whichH4009 20the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 reliesH4009, 2122bringingH2142 toH2142 mindH2142 the guiltH5771 of their having turnedH6437 23to Egypt. Then they will knowH3045 that I am the LordH136 GodH3068.”’”
