3So I gaveH5414 my 1attentionH6440 to the LordH136 GodH430, to seekH1245 Him by prayerH8605 and pleadingH8469, with fastingH6685, sackclothH8242, and ashesH665. 4I prayedH6419 to the LordH3068 my GodH430 and confessedH3034, and saidH559, “OhH577, LordH136, the 2greatH1419 and awesomeH3372 GodH410, who 3keepsH8104 His covenantH1285 and faithfulnessH2617 for those who loveH157 Him and keepH8104 His commandmentsH4687, 54we have sinnedH2398, we have doneH5753 wrongH5753, and 5actedH7561 wickedlyH7561 and 6rebelledH4775, even 7turningH5493 asideH5493 from Your commandmentsH4687 and ordinancesH4941. 6Moreover, we have not 8listenedH8085 to Your servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, whoH834 spokeH1696 in Your nameH8034 to our kingsH4428, our leadersH8269, our fathersH1, and allH3605 the peopleH5971 of the landH776.

7“9RighteousnessH6666 belongs to You, LordH136, but to us 1011openH6440 shameH1322, as it is thisH2088 dayH3117--to the menH376 of JudahH3063, the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389, and allH3605 IsraelH3478, those who are nearbyH7138 and those who are farH7350 away in 12allH3605 the countriesH776 to whichH834 You have drivenH5080 them, because of their unfaithfulH4603H4604 deedsH4604 whichH834 they have committedH4603 against You. 813OpenH6440 shameH1322 belongs to us, Lord, to our kingsH4428, our leadersH8269, and our fathersH1, becauseH834 we have sinnedH2398 against You. 9To the LordH136 our GodH430 belong 14compassionH7356 and forgivenessH5547, 15becauseH3588 we have 16rebelledH4775 against Him; 10and we have not obeyedH8085 the voiceH6963 of the LordH3068 our GodH430, to walkH1980 in His 17teachingsH8451 whichH834 He 18setH5414 beforeH6440 us throughH3027 His servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030. 11Indeed, 19allH3605 IsraelH3478 has violatedH5674 Your LawH8451 and turnedH5493 asideH5493, not obeyingH8085 Your voiceH6963; so the 20curseH423 has gushedH5413 forthH5413 on us, along with the oathH7621 whichH834 is writtenH3789 in the LawH8451 of MosesH4872 the servantH5650 of GodH430, becauseH3588 we have sinnedH2398 against Him. 12So He has 21confirmedH6965 His wordsH1697 whichH834 He had spokenH1696 againstH5921 us and againstH5921 our 2223rulersH8199 whoH834 ruledH8199 us, to bringH935 on us greatH1419 disasterH7463; for underH8478 the entireH3605 heavenH8064 there has 24not been doneH6213 anything like whatH3512 was doneH6213 in JerusalemH3389.
