Song of Songs 1:2-6

2“May he kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your 1love is 2sweeter than wine.3Your 3oils have a pleasing fragrance, Your 4name is like 5purified oil; Therefore the 67young women love you.4Draw me after you and let’s run together! The 8king has brought me into his chambers.” The Chorus “We will rejoice in you and be joyful; We will praise your 9love more than wine. Rightly do they love you.”

5“I am black and 10beautiful, You 11daughters of Jerusalem, Like the 12tents of 13Kedar, Like the curtains of Solomon.6Do not stare at me because I am 14dark, For the sun has tanned me. My 15mother’s sons were angry with me; They made me 16caretaker of the vineyards, But I have not taken care of my own vineyard.
