Revelation 8:2-13

2And I saw 1the seven angels who stand before God, and seven 2trumpets were given to them.

33Another angel came and stood at the 4altar, holding a 5golden censer; and much 6incense was given to him, so that he might 7add it to the 8prayers of all the 9saints on the 10golden altar which was before the throne. 4And 11the smoke of the incense ascended from the angel’s hand with the prayers of the 12saints before God. 5Then the angel 13took the 14censer and 15filled it with the fire of the altar, and 16hurled it to the earth; and there were 17peals of thunder and sounds, and flashes of lightning and an 18earthquake.

619And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound them.

7The first sounded, and there was 20hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled to the earth; and 21a third of the earth was burned up, and 22a third of the 23trees were burned up, and all the green 24grass was burned up.

8The second angel sounded, and something like a great 25mountain burning with fire was hurled into the sea; and 26a third of the 27sea became blood, 9and 28a third of the creatures which were in the sea 29and had life, died; and a third of the 30ships were destroyed.

10The third angel sounded, and a great star 31fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a 32third of the rivers and on the 33springs of waters. 11The star is named Wormwood; and a 34third of the waters became 35wormwood, and many people died from the waters because they were made bitter.

12The fourth angel sounded, and a 36third of the 37sun, a third of the 38moon, and a 39third of the 40stars were struck, so that a 41third of them would be darkened and the day would not shine for a 42third of it, and the night in the same way.

13Then I looked, and I heard 43an eagle flying in 44midheaven, saying with a loud voice, “45Woe, woe, woe to 46those who live on the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the 47three angels who are about to sound!”
