Revelation 11:2-11

21Leave out the 2courtyard which is outside the 3temple and do not measure it, because 4it has been given to the nations; and they will 5trample 6the holy city for 7forty-two months. 3And I will grant authority to my two 8witnesses, and they will prophesy for 91,260 days, clothed in 10sackcloth.” 4These are the 11two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. 5And if anyone wants to harm them, 12fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; and so if anyone wants to harm them, 13he must be killed in this way. 6These have the power to 14shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during 15the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to 16turn them into blood, and 17to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.

7When they have finished their testimony, 18the beast that comes up out of the 19abyss will 20make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. 8And their dead bodies will lie on the street of the 21great city which 22spiritually is called 23Sodom and 24Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. 9Those from 25the peoples, tribes, languages, and nations will look at their dead 26bodies for three and a half days, and 2728will not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. 10And 29those who live on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will 30send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented 31those who live on the earth.

11And after the three and a half days, 32the breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were watching them.
