Revelation 1:8-11

8“I am 1the Alpha and the Omega,” says the 2Lord God, “3who is and who was and who 4is to come, the Almighty.”

9 5I, John, your 6brother and 7fellow participant in the tribulation and 8kingdom and 9 10perseverance in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos 11because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 10I was 12in the 13Spirit on 14the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice 15like the sound of a trumpet, 11saying, “16Write 17on a scroll what you see, and send it to the 18seven churches: to 19Ephesus, 20Smyrna, 21Pergamum, 22Thyatira, 23Sardis, 24Philadelphia, and 25Laodicea.”
