Philippians 1:10-16

10so that you may 1 2discover the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and blameless for 3the day of Christ; 11having been filled with the 4fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God.

12Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that my circumstances 5have turned out for the greater progress of the 6gospel, 13so that my 7 8imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the 9praetorian guard and to 10everyone else, 14and that most of the brothers and sisters, 11trusting in the Lord because of my 12 13imprisonment, have 14far more courage to speak the word of God without fear. 15 15Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even 16from envy and strife, but some also 17from goodwill; 16the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the 18gospel;
