Luke 4:23-30

23And He said to them, “No doubt you will 1quote this proverb to Me: ‘Physician, heal yourself! All the miracles that we heard were done 2in Capernaum, do here in 3Your hometown as well.’” 24But He said, “Truly I say to you, 4no prophet is welcome in his hometown. 25But I say to you in truth, there were many widows in Israel 5in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months, when a 6severe famine came over all the land; 26and yet Elijah was sent to none of them, but only to 78Zarephath, in the land of 9Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. 27And there were many with leprosy in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was 10cleansed, but only 11Naaman the Syrian.” 28And all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage as they heard these things; 29and they got up and 12drove Him out of the city, and brought Him to the 13crest of the hill on which their city had been built, so that they could throw Him down from the cliff. 30But He 14passed through their midst and went on His way.
