Judges 3:7-9

7So the sons of Israel did 1what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and they 2forgot the Lord their God and 3served the Baals and the 4Asheroth.

8Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, so that He sold them into the hand of Cushan-rishathaim, king of 5Mesopotamia; and the sons of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim for eight years.

9But the sons of Israel cried out to the Lord, and the Lord raised up a deliverer for the sons of Israel to set them free, 6Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother.
