John 12:42-50

42Nevertheless 1many, even of 2the rulers, believed in Him, but 3because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, so that they would not be 4excommunicated from the synagogue; 435for they loved the 6approval of people rather than the 7approval of God.

44Now Jesus cried out and said, “8The one who believes in Me, does not believe only in Me, but also in Him who sent Me. 45And 9the one who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. 4610I have come as Light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me will remain in darkness. 47If anyone hears My 11teachings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for 12I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 4813The one who rejects Me and does not 14accept My 15teachings has one who judges him: 16the word which I spoke. That will judge him on 17the last day. 4918For I did not speak 19on My own, but the Father Himself who sent Me 20has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. 50And I know that 21His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak 22just as the Father has told Me.”
