John 12:37-50
37But though He had performed so many 1signs in their sight, they still were not believing in Him. 38This happened so that the word of Isaiah the prophet which he spoke would be fulfilled: “2Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” 39For this reason they could not believe, for Isaiah said again, 40“3He has blinded their eyes and He 4hardened their heart, so that they will not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and 5be converted, and so I will not heal them.” 41These things Isaiah said because 6he saw His glory, and 7he spoke about Him. 42Nevertheless 8many, even of 9the rulers, believed in Him, but 10because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, so that they would not be 11excommunicated from the synagogue; 4312for they loved the 13approval of people rather than the 14approval of God.
44Now Jesus cried out and said, “15The one who believes in Me, does not believe only in Me, but also in Him who sent Me. 45And 16the one who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. 4617I have come as Light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me will remain in darkness. 47If anyone hears My 18teachings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for 19I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 4820The one who rejects Me and does not 21accept My 22teachings has one who judges him: 23the word which I spoke. That will judge him on 24the last day. 4925For I did not speak 26on My own, but the Father Himself who sent Me 27has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. 50And I know that 28His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak 29just as the Father has told Me.”
