John 1:4-9
41In Him was life, and the life was 2the Light of mankind. 5And 3the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not 4grasp it.
6A man 5came, one sent from God, and his name was 6John. 77He came 89as a witness, to testify about the Light, 10so that all might believe through him. 81112He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light.
913This was 14the true Light 15that, coming into the world, enlightens every person.
