Habakkuk 1:7-12
7They are terrifying and 1feared; Their 2justice and 3authority 4originate with themselves.8Their 5horses are faster than leopards, And quicker than 6wolves in the evening. Their 7horsemen charge along, Their 8horsemen come from afar; They fly like an 9eagle 10swooping down to devour.9All of them come for violence. 11Their horde of 12faces moves forward. They gather captives like sand.10They 13make fun of kings, And dignitaries are an object of laughter to them. They 14laugh at every fortress, Then 15heap up dirt and 16capture it.11Then they fly along like the 17wind and pass on. But they will be held 18guilty, They whose 19strength is their god.”
12Are You not from 20time everlasting, Lord, my God, my Holy One? We will not die. You, Lord, have 21appointed them to deliver judgment; And You, O 22Rock, have destined them to punish.
