Habakkuk 1:7-12
7They are dreaded and 1feared; Their 2justice and 3authority 4originate with themselves.8Their 5horses are swifter than leopards And 6keener than 7wolves in the evening. Their 8horsemen come galloping, Their horsemen come from afar; They fly like an 9eagle swooping down to devour.9All of them come for violence. 10Their horde of 11faces moves forward. They collect captives like sand.10They 12mock at kings And rulers are a laughing matter to them. They 13laugh at every fortress And 14heap up rubble to capture it.11Then they will sweep through like the 15wind and pass on. But they will be held 16guilty, They whose 17strength is their god.”
12Are You not from 18everlasting, O Lord, my God, my Holy One? We will not die. You, O Lord, have 19appointed them to judge; And You, O 20Rock, have established them to correct.
