Exodus 3:1-3
1Now Moses was pasturing the flock of his father-in-law 1Jethro, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock to the 2west side of the wilderness and came to 3Horeb, the 4mountain of God.
2Then 5the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of 6a 7bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not being consumed.
3So Moses said, “8I must turn aside and see this 9marvelous sight, why the bush is not burning up!”
