Exodus 12:26-27
261And when your children say to you, ‘2What does this rite mean to you?’ 27then you shall say, ‘It is a Passover sacrifice to 3the Lord because He passed over the houses of the sons of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians, but 4spared our homes.’” 5And the people bowed low and worshiped.
