Deuteronomy 7:9-12
9Know therefore that the Lord your God, 1He is God, 2the faithful God, 3who keeps 4His covenant and 5His faithfulness to a thousand generations for those who 6love Him and keep His commandments; 10but He 7repays those who hate Him to 8their faces, to eliminate 9them; He will not hesitate toward him who hates Him, He will repay him to his face. 11Therefore, you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I am commanding you today, to do them.
12“10Then it shall come about, because you listen to these judgments and keep and do them, that the Lord your God will keep 11His covenant with you and 12His faithfulness which He swore to your forefathers.
