2 Timothy 3:2-17

2For people will be 1lovers of self, 2lovers of money, 3boastful, 4arrogant, 5slanderers, 6disobedient to parents, 7ungrateful, 8unholy, 39unloving, irreconcilable, 10malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, 1112haters of good, 413treacherous, 14reckless, 15conceited, 16lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5holding to a form of 1718godliness although they have 19denied its power; 20avoid such people as these. 6For among them are those who 2122slip into households and captivate 2324weak women weighed down with sins, led on by 25various impulses, 7always learning and never able to 26come to the 27knowledge of the truth. 8Just as 28Jannes and Jambres 29opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, 30men of depraved mind, 31worthless in regard to the faith. 9But they will not make further progress; for their 32foolishness will be obvious to all, just 33as was that also of 34Jannes and Jambres.

10Now you 35followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, 36love, 37perseverance, 1138persecutions, and 39sufferings, such as happened to me at 40Antioch, at 41Iconium, and at 42Lystra; what 43persecutions I endured, and out of them all 44the Lord rescued me! 12Indeed, all who want to live in a godly way in Christ Jesus 45will be persecuted. 13But evil people and impostors 46will proceed from bad to worse, 47deceiving and being deceived. 14You, however, 48continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15and that 49from childhood you have known 50the sacred writings which are able to 51give you the wisdom that leads to 52salvation through faith which is in 53Christ Jesus. 1654All Scripture is 55inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for 56rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17so that 57the man or woman of God may be 58fully capable, 59equipped for every good work.
