2 Thessalonians 1:5-10

5This is 1a 2plain indication of God’s righteous judgment so that you will be 3considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you indeed are suffering.

6 4For after all 5it is only right 6for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,

7and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us, 7 8when the Lord Jesus will be revealed 9from heaven 10with 11His mighty angels

8 12in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who 13do not know God, and to those who 14do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

9These people will pay the penalty of 15eternal destruction, 16away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

10when He comes to be 17glorified among His 18saints on that 19day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed--because our 20testimony to you was believed.
