Corinthians 11:23-28

Are they 1servants of Christ?--I am speaking as if insane--I more so; in 2far more labors, in 3far more imprisonments, 4 5beaten times without number, often in danger of 6death.

Five times I received from the Jews 7thirty-nine lashes.

Three times I was 8beaten with rods, once I was 9stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent adrift at sea.

I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my 10countrymen, dangers from the 11Gentiles, dangers in the 12city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers at sea, dangers among 13false brothers;

I have been in 14labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in 15hunger and thirst, often 16without food, in cold and 17 18exposure.

Apart from such 19external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for 20all the churches.
