1 Timothy 1:15-20

15 1It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that 2Christ Jesus came into the world to 3save sinners, among whom 4I am foremost. 16Yet for this reason I 5found mercy, so that in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might 6demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those 7who would believe in Him for eternal life. 17Now to the 8King 9eternal, 10immortal, 11invisible, the 12only God, 13be honor and glory 14forever and ever. Amen.

18This 15command I entrust to you, Timothy, 16my 17son, in accordance with the 18prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you 19fight the good fight, 19keeping 20faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to 21 22their faith. 20 23Among these are 24Hymenaeus and 25Alexander, whom I have 26handed over to Satan, so that they will be 27taught not to blaspheme.
