1 John 5:16-21

16If anyone sees his brother or sister 1committing a sin not leading to death, 2he shall ask and 3God will, for him, give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. 4There is sin leading to death; 5I am not saying that he should ask about that. 17 6All unrighteousness is sin, and 7there is sin not leading to death.

18 8We know that 9no one who has been born of God 10sins; but He who was born of God 11keeps him, and 12the evil one does not 13touch him. 19 14We know that 15we are of God, and that 16the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 20And 17we know that 18the Son of God has come, and has 19given us understanding so that we may know 20Him who is true; and we 21are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. 22This is the true God and 23eternal life.

21 24Little children, guard yourselves from 25idols.
