1 John 5:16-21

16If anyone sees his brother 1committing a sin not leading to death, 2he shall ask and 3God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. 4There is a sin leading to death; 5I do not say that he should make request for this. 17 6All unrighteousness is sin, and 7there is a sin not leading to death.

18 8We know that 9no one who is 10born of God sins; but He who was 11born of God 12keeps him, and 13the evil one does not 14touch him. 19 15We know that 16we are of God, and that 17the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 20And 18we know that 19the Son of God has come, and has 20given us understanding so that we may know 21Him who is true; and we 22are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. 23This is the true God and 24eternal life.

21 25Little children, guard yourselves from 26idols.
