1 John 5:10-21

10The one who believes in the Son of God 1has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has 2made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. 11And the testimony is this, that God has given us 3eternal life, and 4this life is in His Son. 125The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

136These things I have written to you who 7believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have 8eternal life. 14This is 9the confidence which we have 10before Him, that, 11if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, 12we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

16If anyone sees his brother or sister 13committing a sin not leading to death, 14he shall ask and 15God will, for him, give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. 16There is sin leading to death; 17I am not saying that he should ask about that. 1718All unrighteousness is sin, and 19there is sin not leading to death.

1820We know that 21no one who has been born of God 22sins; but He who was born of God 23keeps him, and 24the evil one does not 25touch him. 1926We know that 27we are of God, and that 28the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 20And 29we know that 30the Son of God has come, and has 31given us understanding so that we may know 32Him who is true; and we 33are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. 34This is the true God and 35eternal life.

2136Little children, guard yourselves from 37idols.
