1 Corinthians 2:2-8

2For I determined to know nothing among you except 1Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3I also was with you in 2weakness and 3fear, and in great trembling, 4and my 4message and my preaching were 5not in persuasive words of 6wisdom, but in demonstration of 7the Spirit and of power, 5so that your faith would not 8rest on the 9wisdom of mankind, but on 10the power of God.

6Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are 11mature; a wisdom, however, not of 12this age nor of the rulers of 13this age, who are 14passing away; 7but we speak God’s wisdom in a 15mystery, the hidden wisdom which God 16predestined before the 17ages to our glory; 8the wisdom 18which none of the rulers of 19this age has understood; for if they had understood it, they would not have crucified 20the Lord of glory;
