1 Corinthians 2:2-8
2For I determined to know nothing among you except 1Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3I was with you in 2weakness and in 3fear and in much trembling, 4and my 4message and my preaching were 5not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of 6the Spirit and of power, 5so that your faith would not 7rest on the wisdom of men, but on 8the power of God.
6Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are 9mature; a wisdom, however, not of 10this age nor of the rulers of 11this age, who are 12passing away; 7but we speak God’s wisdom in a 13mystery, the hidden wisdom which God 14predestined before the 15ages to our glory; 8the wisdom 16which none of the rulers of 17this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified 18the Lord of glory;
