1 Corinthians 1:20-25

20 1Where is the wise person? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of 2this age? Has God not 3made foolish the wisdom of 4the world? 21For since in the wisdom of God 5the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, 6God 7was pleased through the 8foolishness of the 9message preached to 10save those who believe. 22For indeed 11Jews ask for 12signs and Greeks search for wisdom; 23but we preach 13 14Christ crucified, 15to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles 16foolishness, 24but to those who are 17the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ 18the power of God and 19the wisdom of God. 25For the 20foolishness of God is wiser than mankind, and 21the weakness of God is stronger than mankind.
