Corinthians 1:20-25

Where [is the] wise? where scribe? where disputer of this world? has not 1God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

For since, in the wisdom of 2God, the world by wisdom has not known 3God, 4God has been pleased by the foolishness of the preaching to save those that believe.

Since Jews indeed ask for signs, and Greeks seek wisdom;

but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews an offence, and to nations foolishness;

but to those that [are] called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ 5God's power and 6God's wisdom.

Because the foolishness of 7God is wiser than men, and the weakness of 8God is stronger than men.
