Malachi 2:1-9
1“And nowH6258 thisH2088 commandmentH4687 is for you, O priestsH3548. 2IfH518 you do 1not listenH8085, and ifH518 you do not takeH7760 it to heartH3820 to giveH5414 honorH3519 to My nameH8034,” saysH559 the LordH3068 of hostsH6635, “then I will sendH7971 the 2curseH3994 upon you and I will curseH779 your blessingsH1293; and indeedH1571, I have 3cursedH779 them already, becauseH3588 you are not takingH7760 it to heartH3820. 3BeholdH2009, I am going to 4rebukeH1605 your 5offspringH2233, and I will 6spreadH2219 7refuseH6569 on your facesH6440, the 8refuseH6569 of your 9feastsH2282; and you will be takenH5375 away 10with it. 4Then you will knowH3045 that I have sentH7971 thisH2088 commandmentH4687 to you, 11that My 12covenantH1285 may 13continueH1961 with LeviH3878,” saysH559 the LordH3068 of hostsH6635. 5“My covenantH1285 with him was one of lifeH2425 and 14peaceH7965, and I gaveH5414 them to him as an object of 15reverenceH4172; so he 1617reveredH3372 Me and stoodH2865 in aweH2865 of My nameH8034. 61819TrueH571 instructionH8451 was in his mouthH6310 and unrighteousnessH5767 was not foundH4672 on his lipsH8193; he walkedH1980 20with Me in peaceH7965 and uprightnessH4334, and he 21turnedH7725 manyH7227 backH7725 from iniquityH5771. 7For the lipsH8193 of a priestH3548 should preserveH8104 22knowledgeH1847, and 23men should 24seekH1245 25instructionH8451 from his mouthH6310; for he is the 26messengerH4397 of the LordH3068 of hostsH6635. 8But as for you, you have turnedH5493 asideH5493 from the wayH1870; you have caused manyH7227 to 27stumbleH3782 28by the instructionH8451; you have 2930corruptedH7843 the covenantH1285 of LeviH3878,” saysH559 the LordH3068 of hostsH6635. 9“So 31I alsoH1571 have madeH5414 you despisedH959 and 32abasedH8217 33before allH3605 the peopleH5971, justH6310H834 as you are not keepingH8104 My waysH1870 but are showingH5375 34partialityH5375H6440 in the 35instructionH8451.
