Joshua 7:1-5
11But the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 actedH4603 unfaithfullyH4604 in regard to the thingsH2764 underH2764 the banH2764, for AchanH5912, the sonH1121 of CarmiH3756, the sonH1121 of ZabdiH2067, the sonH1121 of ZerahH2226, from the tribeH4294 of JudahH3063, tookH3947 someH4480 of the thingsH2764 underH2764 the banH2764, therefore the angerH639 of the LordH3068 burnedH2734 against the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478.
2Now JoshuaH3091 sentH7971 menH376 from JerichoH3405 to AiH5857, whichH834 is nearH5973 2Beth-avenH1007, eastH6924 of BethelH1008, and saidH559 to them, “3GoH5927 up and spyH7270 out the landH776.” So the menH376 wentH5927 up and spiedH7270 out AiH5857. 3They returnedH7725 to JoshuaH3091 and saidH559 to him, “Do not let allH3605 the peopleH5971 goH5927 up; only about two orH176 threeH7969 thousandH505 menH376 need goH5927 up 4to AiH5857; do not make allH3605 the peopleH5971 toilH3021 up thereH8033, for they are fewH4592.” 4So about threeH7969 thousandH505 menH376 from the peopleH5971 wentH5927 up thereH8033, but 5they fledH5127 6from the menH376 of AiH5857. 5The menH376 of AiH5857 struckH5221 downH5221 about thirty-sixH7970H8337 of their menH376, and pursuedH7291 them 7from the gateH8179 as farH5704 as ShebarimH7671 and struckH5221 them downH5221 on the descentH4174, so the 8heartsH3824 of the peopleH5971 meltedH4549 and becameH1961 as waterH4325.
