6Then Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091toreוַיִּקְרַ֨עvai.yik.Ra'H7167his clothesשִׂמְלֹתָ֗יוsim.lo.TavH8071and fellוַיִּפֹּל֩vai.yi.PolH5307to the earthאַ֜רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776on his faceפָּנָ֨יוpa.NavH6440beforeלִפְנֵ֨יlif.NeiH6440the arkאֲר֤וֹן'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068untilעַד־'ad-H5704the eveningהָעֶ֔רֶבha.'E.revH6153, bothhe and the eldersוְזִקְנֵ֣יve.zik.NeiH2205of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478; andthey putוַיַּעֲל֥וּvai.ya.'a.LuH5927dustעָפָ֖ר'a.FarH6083on their headsרֹאשָֽׁם׃ro.ShamH7218.
7Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Alasאֲהָ֣הּ׀'a.HahH162,O Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068,whyלָ֠מָהLa.mahH4100did You everH5674bringH5674thisהַזֶּה֙ha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֤םha.'AmH5971overH5674the Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֔ןhai.yar.DenH3383, onlyto deliverלָתֵ֥תla.TetH5414us into the handבְּיַ֥דbe.YadH3027of the Amoritesהָאֱמֹרִ֖יha.'e.mo.RiH567,to destroyלְהַאֲבִידֵ֑נוּle.ha.'a.vi.De.nuH6us? 9For the Canaanitesהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֗יha.ke.na.'a.NiH3669and allוְכֹל֙ve.KholH3605the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֣יyo.she.VeiH3427of the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776will hearוְיִשְׁמְע֣וּve.yish.me.'UH8085of it, and they will surroundוְנָסַ֣בּוּve.na.Sa.buH5437us and cutוְהִכְרִ֥יתוּve.hikh.Ri.tuH3772offH3772our nameשְׁמֵ֖נוּshe.Me.nuH8034from the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776.And whatוּמַֽה־u.mah-H4100will You doתַּעֲשֵׂ֖הta.'a.SehH6213for Your greatהַגָּדֽוֹל׃ סha.ga.DolH1419nameלְשִׁמְךָ֥le.shim.KhaH8034?”
11Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478has sinnedחָטָא֙cha.Ta'H2398, andthey have alsoH1571transgressedעָבְר֣וּ'a.ve.RuH5674My covenantבְּרִיתִ֔יbe.ri.TiH1285whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I commandedצִוִּ֖יתִיtzi.Vi.tiH6680them. And they have evenH1571takenלָֽקְחוּ֙la.ke.ChuH3947someמִן־min-H4480of the thingsהַחֵ֔רֶםha.Che.remH2764underH2764the banH2764and have bothH1571stolenגָּֽנְבוּ֙ga.ne.VuH1589and deceivedכִּֽחֲשׁ֔וּki.cha.ShuH3584.Moreover, they have alsoH1571putשָׂ֥מוּSa.muH7760themamong their own thingsבִכְלֵיהֶֽם׃vikh.lei.HemH3627.
12Therefore thesonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478cannotיֻכְל֜וּyukh.LuH3201H3808standלָקוּם֙la.KumH6965beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440their enemiesH340;they turnיִפְנוּ֙yif.NuH6437theirbacksעֹ֗רֶף'O.refH6203beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440their enemiesH340,for they have becomeH1961accursedH2764.I will not be with you anymoreאוֹסִיף֙'o.SifH3254unlessאִם־'im-H518H3808you destroyתַשְׁמִ֛ידוּtash.Mi.duH8045the thingsH2764underH2764the banH2764from your midstמִֽקִּרְבְּכֶֽם׃Mi.kir.be.KhemH7130.
