2“Contendרִ֤יבוּRi.vuH7378with your motherבְאִמְּכֶם֙ve.'i.me.KhemH517,contendרִ֔יבוּRi.vuH7378, For she isnot my wifeאִשְׁתִּ֔י'ish.TiH802,and I am not her husbandאִישָׁ֑הּ'i.ShahH376;And let her putH5493awayH5493herharlotryזְנוּנֶ֙יהָ֙ze.nu.Nei.haH2183from her faceמִפָּנֶ֔יהmi.pa.NeihH6440And her adulteryוְנַאֲפוּפֶ֖יהָve.na.'a.fu.Fei.haH5005from betweenמִבֵּ֥יןmi.BeinH996her breastsשָׁדֶֽיהָ׃sha.Dei.haH7699,

6Thereforeלָכֵ֛ןla.KhenH3651,beholdH2009, I willhedgeשָׂ֥ךְsakhH7753upher wayדַּרְכֵּ֖ךְdar.KekhH1870withthornsבַּסִּירִ֑יםba.si.RimH5518,And I will buildוְגָֽדַרְתִּי֙ve.ga.dar.TiH1443a wallגְּדֵרָ֔הּge.de.RahH1447against her so that she cannotH3808findתִמְצָֽא׃tim.Tza'H4672herpathsוּנְתִיבוֹתֶ֖יהָu.ne.ti.vo.Tei.haH5410.

7She willpursueוְרִדְּפָ֤הve.ri.de.FahH7291her loversH157,but she will not overtakeתַשִּׂ֣יגta.SigH5381them;And she will seekוּבִקְשָׁ֖תַםu.vik.Sha.tamH1245them, but will not findתִמְצָ֑אtim.Tza'H4672them.Then she will sayH559, ‘I will goH1980backוְאָשׁ֙וּבָה֙ve.'a.Shu.vahH7725to myfirstהָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹןha.ri.ShonH7223husbandאִישִׁ֣י'i.ShiH376, For it wasbetterH2896for me thenאָ֖ז'azH227thanH4480nowמֵעָֽתָּה׃me.'A.tahH6258!’

9Thereforeלָכֵ֣ןla.KhenH3651, I willtakeוְלָקַחְתִּ֤יve.la.kach.TiH3947backH7725My grainדְגָנִי֙de.ga.NiH1715atharvest timeבְּעִתּ֔וֹbe.'i.ToH6256And My newוְתִירוֹשִׁ֖יve.ti.ro.ShiH8492wineH8492in its seasonבְּמֽוֹעֲד֑וֹbe.mo.'a.DoH4150.I will also takeH5337awayוְהִצַּלְתִּי֙ve.hi.tzal.TiH5337My woolצַמְרִ֣יtzam.RiH6785and My flaxוּפִשְׁתִּ֔יu.fish.TiH6593Givento coverלְכַסּ֖וֹתle.kha.SotH3680her nakednessעֶרְוָתָֽהּ׃'er.va.TahH6172.

10And thenוְעַתָּ֛הve.'a.TahH6258I willuncoverאֲגַלֶּ֥ה'a.ga.LehH1540her lewdnessנַבְלֻתָ֖הּnav.lu.TahH5040In the sightלְעֵינֵ֣יle.'ei.NeiH5869of her loversמְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָme.'a.ha.Vei.haH157,And noH3808oneוְאִ֖ישׁve.'IshH376will rescueיַצִּילֶ֥נָּהya.tzi.Le.nahH5337her out of My handמִיָּדִֽי׃mi.ya.DiH3027.

11I will alsoputוְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ve.hish.ba.TiH7673an endH7673to allכָּל־kol-H3605her gaietyמְשׂוֹשָׂ֔הּme.so.SahH4885, Herfeastsחַגָּ֖הּcha.GahH2282, hernewחָדְשָׁ֣הּcha.de.ShahH2320moonsH2320,her sabbathsוְשַׁבַּתָּ֑הּve.shab.ba.TahH7676And allוְכֹ֖לve.KholH3605her festalבְּמֽוֹעֲד֑וֹbe.mo.'a.DoH4150assembliesמוֹעֲדָֽהּ׃mo.'a.DahH4150.

14“Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651,beholdהִנֵּ֤הhi.NehH2009,I will allureמְפַתֶּ֔יהָme.fa.Tei.haH6601her,Bringוְהֹֽלַכְתִּ֖יהָve.ho.lakh.Ti.haH1980her into the wildernessהַמִּדְבָּ֑רha.mid.BarH4057And speakוְדִבַּרְתִּ֖יve.di.bar.TiH1696kindlyלִבָּֽהּ׃li.BahH3820to her.

15Then I will giveוְנָתַ֨תִּיve.na.Ta.tiH5414her hervineyardsכְּרָמֶ֙יהָ֙ke.ra.Mei.haH3754from thereמִשָּׁ֔םmi.ShamH8033, Andthe valleyעֵ֥מֶק'E.mekH6010of Achorעָכ֖וֹרa.KhorH5911as a doorלְפֶ֣תַחle.Fe.tachH6607of hopeתִּקְוָ֑הtik.VahH8615. And she willsingH6031thereשָּׁ֙מָּה֙Sha.mahH8033as in the daysH3117of her youthנְעוּרֶ֔יהָne.'u.Rei.haH5271, As in thedayH3117when she cameעֲלֹתָ֥הּ'a.lo.TahH5927up from the landמֵאֶֽרֶץ־me.'e.retz-H776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃ סmitz.Ra.yimH4714.

17ForI will removeוַהֲסִרֹתִ֛יva.ha.si.ro.TiH5493the namesשְׁמ֥וֹתshe.MotH8034of the Baalsהַבְּעָלִ֖יםha.be.'a.LimH1168from her mouthמִפִּ֑יהָmi.Pi.haH6310, So that they will bementionedיִזָּכְר֥וּyi.za.khe.RuH2142by their namesבִּשְׁמָֽם׃bish.MamH8034noוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808moreע֖וֹדodH5750.

18In that dayH3117I will also makeוְכָרַתִּ֨יve.kha.ra.TiH3772a covenantבְּרִית֙be.RitH1285for them With thebeastsH2421of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶה֙ha.sa.DehH7704,The birdsע֣וֹףofH5775of the skyהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064And the creepingוְרֶ֖מֶשׂve.Re.mesH7431thingsH7431of the groundהָֽאֲדָמָ֑הha.'a.da.MahH127. 19I willbetrothוְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְve.'e.ras.TikhH781you to Me foreverלְעוֹלָ֑םle.'o.LamH5769;Yes, I will betrothוְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְve.'e.ras.TikhH781you to Me inrighteousnessבְּצֶ֣דֶקbe.Tze.dekH6664and in justiceוּבְמִשְׁפָּ֔טu.ve.mish.PatH4941,In lovingkindnessוּבְחֶ֖סֶדu.ve.Che.sedH2617and in compassionוּֽבְרַחֲמִֽים׃U.ve.ra.cha.MimH7356,

20And I will betrothוְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְve.'e.ras.TikhH781you to Me in faithfulnessבֶּאֱמוּנָ֑הbe.'e.mu.NahH530. Then you willknowוְיָדַ֖עַתְּve.ya.Da.'atH3045the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

21“It will comeוְהָיָ֣ה׀ve.ha.YahH1961about in that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117thatI will respondאֶֽעֱנֶה֙'e.'e.NehH6030,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068. “I will respondאֶעֱנֶ֖ה'e.'e.NehH6030to the heavensהַשָּׁמָ֑יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and they will respondיַעֲנ֥וּya.'a.NuH6030to the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776,

22And theearthוְהָאָ֣רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776will respondתַּעֲנֶ֔הta.'a.NehH6030to the grainהַדָּגָ֖ןha.da.GanH1715,to the newהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁha.ti.Ro.oshH8492wineH8492and to the oilהַיִּצְהָ֑רhai.yitz.HarH3323,And they will respondיַעֲנ֥וּya.'a.NuH6030toJezreelיִזְרְעֶֽאל׃yiz.re.'ElH3157.

23I willsowוּזְרַעְתִּ֤יהָu.ze.ra'.Ti.haH2232her for Myself in the landH776.I will also haveH7355compassionH7355onher who had not obtainedH7355compassionH7355, AndI will sayוְאָמַרְתִּ֤יve.'a.mar.TiH559to those who werenot My peopleעַמִּי֙'a.MiH5971, ‘You are My peopleעַמִּי־'a.mi-H5971!’ Andthey will sayיֹאמַ֥רyo.MarH559, ‘You aremy Godאֱלֹהָֽי׃ פ'e.lo.HaiH430!’”
