Revelation 21:15-27

15The one who spoke with me had a 1gold measuring 2rod to measure the city, and its 3gates and its wall. 16The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the 4rod, 5fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal. 17And he measured its wall, 6seventy-two yards, according to 7human 8measurements, which are also 9angelic measurements. 18The material of the wall was 10jasper; and the city was 11pure gold, like 12clear 13glass. 1914The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was 15jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, 16emerald; 20the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, 17sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. 21And the twelve 18gates were twelve 19pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was 20pure gold, like transparent 21glass.

22I saw 22no 23temple in it, for the 24Lord God the Almighty and the 25Lamb are its 26temple. 23And the city 27has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for 28the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the 29Lamb. 2430The nations will walk by its light, and the 31kings of the earth 32will bring their glory into it. 25In the daytime (for 33there will be no night there) 34its gates 35will never be closed; 26and 36they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; 27and 37nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those 38whose names are 39written in the Lamb’s book of life.
