Revelation 21:14-27

14And the wall of the city had 1twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the 2twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15The one who spoke with me had a 3gold measuring 4rod to measure the city, and its 5gates and its wall. 16The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the 6rod, 7fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal. 17And he measured its wall, 8seventy-two yards, according to 9human 10measurements, which are also 11angelic measurements. 18The material of the wall was 12jasper; and the city was 13pure gold, like 14clear 15glass. 1916The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was 17jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, 18emerald; 20the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, 19sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. 21And the twelve 20gates were twelve 21pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was 22pure gold, like transparent 23glass.

22I saw 24no 25temple in it, for the 26Lord God the Almighty and the 27Lamb are its 28temple. 23And the city 29has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for 30the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the 31Lamb. 2432The nations will walk by its light, and the 33kings of the earth 34will bring their glory into it. 25In the daytime (for 35there will be no night there) 36its gates 37will never be closed; 26and 38they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; 27and 39nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those 40whose names are 41written in the Lamb’s book of life.
