Daniel 7:9-27
9“I kept looking Until 1thrones were set up, And the Ancient of Days took His seat; His 2vesture was like white snow And the 3hair of His head like pure wool. His 4throne was 5ablaze with flames, Its 6wheels were a burning fire.10A river of 7fire was flowing And coming out from before Him; 8Thousands upon thousands were attending Him, And myriads upon myriads were standing before Him; The 9court sat, And 10the books were opened. 11Then I kept looking because of the sound of the 11boastful words which the horn was speaking; I kept looking until the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and given to the 12burning 13fire. 12As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but an extension of life was granted to them for an appointed period of time.
13“I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a 14Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And was presented before Him.14And to Him was given 15dominion, Glory and 1617a kingdom, 18That all the peoples, nations and men of every 19language Might serve Him. 20His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; 21And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed.
15“As for me, Daniel, my spirit was distressed 22within me, and the 23visions 24in my mind kept 25alarming me. 16I approached one of those who were 26standing by and began asking him the 27exact meaning of all this. So he 28told me and made known to me the interpretation of these things: 17‘These great beasts, which are four in number, are four kings who will arise from the earth. 18But the 2930saints of the Highest One will 31receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, 32for all ages to come.’
19“Then I desired to know the 33exact meaning of the 34fourth beast, which was different from all 35the others, exceedingly dreadful, with its teeth of iron and its claws of bronze, and which devoured, crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet, 20and the meaning of the ten horns that were on its head and the other horn which came up, and before which three of them fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth uttering great boasts and 36which was larger in appearance than its associates. 21I kept looking, and that horn was 37waging war with the 38saints and overpowering them 22until the Ancient of Days came and 39judgment was 40passed in favor of the 41saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the 42saints took possession of the kingdom.
23“Thus he said: ‘The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth, which will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth and tread it down and crush it. 24As for the 43ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise; and another will arise after them, and he will be different from the previous ones and will subdue three kings. 25He will 44speak 45out against the 46Most High and 47wear down the 48saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make 49alterations in times and in law; and 50they will be given into his hand for a 5152time, 53times, and half a 54time. 26But the court will sit for judgment, and his dominion will be 55taken away, 56annihilated and destroyed 57forever. 27Then the 5859sovereignty, the dominion and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the 60saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an 61everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will 62serve and obey Him.’
