Deuteronomy 2:9-18

9And the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto me, Distressתָּ֙צַר֙ta.tzarH6696not the Moabitesמוֹאָ֔בmo.'AvH4124,neither contendתִּתְגָּ֥רtit.GarH1624with them in battleמִלְחָמָ֑הmil.cha.MahH4421:for I will not giveאֶתֵּ֨ן'e.TenH5414thee of their landמֵֽאַרְצוֹ֙me.'ar.TzoH776fora possessionיְרֻשָּׁ֔הye.ru.ShahH3425;because I have givenנָתַ֥תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414Arעָ֖ר'arH6144unto the childrenלִבְנֵי־liv.nei-H1121of Lotל֔וֹטLotH3876fora possessionיְרֻשָּֽׁה׃ye.ru.shahH3425.

10The Emimsהָאֵמִ֥יםha.'e.MimH368dweltיָ֣שְׁבוּYa.she.vuH3427therein in times pastלְפָנִ֖יםle.fa.NimH6440,a peopleעַ֣ם'amH5971greatגָּד֥וֹלga.DolH1419,and manyוְרַ֛בve.RavH7227,and tallוָרָ֖םva.RamH7311,as the Anakimsכָּעֲנָקִֽים׃ka.'a.na.KimH6062;

11Whichהֵ֖םhemH1992also were accountedיֵחָשְׁב֥וּye.cha.she.VuH2803giantsרְפָאִ֛יםre.fa.'ImH7497,as the Anakimsכָּעֲנָקִ֑יםka.'a.na.KimH6062;but the Moabitesוְהַמֹּ֣אָבִ֔יםve.ha.Mo.'a.VimH4125callיִקְרְא֥וּyik.re.'UH7121them Emimsאֵמִֽים׃'e.MimH368.

12The Horimsהַחֹרִים֮ha.cho.RimH2752also dweltיָשְׁב֣וּya.she.VuH3427in Seirוּבְשֵׂעִ֞ירu.ve.se.'IrH8165beforetimeלְפָנִים֒le.fa.NimH6440;but the childrenוּבְנֵ֧יu.ve.NeiH1121of Esauעֵשָׂ֣ו'e.SavH6215succeededיִֽירָשׁ֗וּםyi.ra.ShumH3423them, when they had destroyedוַיַּשְׁמִידוּם֙vai.yash.mi.DumH8045them from beforeמִפְּנֵיהֶ֔םmi.pe.nei.HemH6440them, and dweltוַיֵּשְׁב֖וּvai.ye.she.VuH3427in their stead; as Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478didעָשָׂ֣ה'a.SahH6213unto the landלְאֶ֙רֶץ֙le.'E.retzH776of his possessionיְרֻשָּׁת֔וֹye.ru.sha.ToH3425,which the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068gaveנָתַ֥ןna.TanH5414unto them.

13Now rise upקֻ֛מוּKu.muH6965, said I,and get you overוְעִבְר֥וּve.'iv.RuH5674the brookנַ֣חַלNa.chalH5158Zeredזָ֑רֶדZa.redH2218.And we went overוַֽנַּעֲבֹ֖רva.na.'a.VorH5674the brookנַ֥חַלNa.chalH5158Zeredזָֽרֶד׃Za.redH2218.

14And the spaceוְהַיָּמִ֞יםve.hai.ya.MimH3117in which we cameהָלַ֣כְנוּ׀ha.Lakh.nuH1980from Kadesh–barneaH6947,until we were come overעָבַ֙רְנוּ֙'a.Var.nuH5674the brookנַ֣חַלNa.chalH5158Zeredזֶ֔רֶדZe.redH2218, wasthirtyשְׁלֹשִׁ֥יםshe.lo.ShimH7970and eightוּשְׁמֹנֶ֖הu.she.mo.NehH8083yearsשָׁנָ֑הsha.NahH8141;until all the generationהַדּ֜וֹרha.DorH1755of the menאַנְשֵׁ֤י'an.SheiH582of warהַמִּלְחָמָה֙ha.mil.cha.MahH4421were wasted outתֹּ֨םtomH8552from amongמִקֶּ֣רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130the hostהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔הha.ma.cha.NehH4264,as the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068swareנִשְׁבַּ֥עnish.Ba'H7650unto them.

15For indeed the handיַד־yad-H3027of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068was against them, to destroyלְהֻמָּ֖םle.hu.MamH2000them from amongמִקֶּ֣רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130the hostהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑הha.ma.cha.NehH4264,until they were consumedתֻּמָּֽם׃tu.MamH8552.

16So it came to pass, when all the menאַנְשֵׁ֧י'an.SheiH582of warהַמִּלְחָמָ֛הha.mil.cha.MahH4421were consumedתַּ֜מּוּTa.muH8552and deadלָמ֖וּתla.MutH4191from amongמִקֶּ֥רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130the peopleהָעָֽם׃ סha.'AmH5971,

17That the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spakeוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696unto me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

18Thou art to pass overעֹבֵ֥ר'o.VerH5674through Arעָֽר׃'ArH6144,the coastגְּב֥וּלge.VulH1366of Moabמוֹאָ֖בmo.'AvH4124,this dayהַיּ֛וֹםhai.YomH3117:
