1And Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559in his heartלִבּ֔וֹli.BoH3820,I shall now perishאֶסָּפֶ֥ה'e.sa.PehH5595oneאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259dayיוֹם־yom-H3117by the handבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of Saulשָׁא֑וּלsha.'UlH7586: there isnothing betterט֜וֹבTovH2896for me than thatכִּ֣יkiH3588I should speedilyהִמָּלֵ֥טhi.ma.LetH4422escapeאִמָּלֵ֣ט׀'i.ma.LetH4422into the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֗יםpe.lish.TimH6430;and Saulשָׁאוּל֙sha.'UlH7586shall despairוְנוֹאַ֨שׁve.no.'AshH2976of me, to seekלְבַקְשֵׁ֤נִיle.vak.She.niH1245me any more in any coastגְּב֣וּלge.VulH1366of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478:so shall I escapeוְנִמְלַטְתִּ֖יve.nim.la.TiH4422out of his handמִיָּדֽוֹ׃mi.ya.DoH3027.
2And Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732aroseוַיָּ֣קָםvai.Ya.komH6965,and he passed overוַיַּעֲבֹ֣רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674with the sixוְשֵׁשׁ־ve.shesh-H8337hundredמֵא֥וֹתme.'otH3967menאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376that werewith him unto Achishאָכִ֥ישׁ'a.KhishH397,the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Maochמָע֖וֹךְma.'okhH4582,kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Gathגַּֽת׃GatH1661.
3And Davidדָּוִ֨דda.VidH1732dweltוַיֵּשֶׁב֩vai.ye.ShevH3427with Achishאָכִ֥ישׁ'a.KhishH397at Gathבְּגַ֛תbe.GatH1661,he and his menוַאֲנָשָׁ֖יוva.'a.na.ShavH582,every manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376with his householdוּבֵית֑וֹu.vei.ToH1004, evenDavidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732with his twoוּשְׁתֵּ֣יu.she.TeiH8147wivesנָשָׁ֔יוna.ShavH802,Ahinoamאֲחִינֹ֙עַם֙'a.chi.No.'amH293the JezreelitessH3159,and Abigailוַאֲבִיגַ֥יִלva.'a.vi.Ga.yilH26the CarmelitessH3762,Nabal’sנָבָ֖לna.ValH5037wifeאֵֽשֶׁת־'e.shet-H802.

8And Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732and his menוַֽאֲנָשָׁ֔יוva.'a.na.ShavH582went upוַיַּ֤עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927,and invadedוַֽיִּפְשְׁט֛וּvai.yif.she.TuH6584the Geshuritesהַגְּשׁוּרִ֥יha.ge.shu.RiH1651,and the Gezritesוְהַגִּזְרִ֖יve.ha.gir.ziH1511,and the Amalekitesוְהָעֲמָלֵקִ֑יve.ha.'a.mal.KiH6003:for thoseהֵ֜נָּהHe.nahH2007nations wereof oldמֵֽעוֹלָ֔םme.'o.LamH5769the inhabitantsיֹשְׁב֤וֹתyo.she.VotH3427of the landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776,as thou goestבּוֹאֲךָ֥bo.'a.KhaH935to Shurשׁ֖וּרָהShu.rahH7793,even unto the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.
9And Davidדָוִד֙da.VidH1732smoteוְהִכָּ֤הve.hi.KahH5221the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and left neither manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376nor womanוְאִשָּׁ֑הve.'i.ShahH802aliveיְחַיֶּ֖הye.chai.YehH2421,and took awayוְלָקַח֩ve.la.KachH3947the sheepצֹ֨אןtzonH6629,and the oxenוּבָקָ֜רu.va.KarH1241,and the assesוַחֲמֹרִ֤יםva.cha.mo.RimH2543,and the camelsוּגְמַלִּים֙u.ge.ma.LimH1581,and the apparelוּבְגָדִ֔יםu.ve.ga.DimH899,and returnedוַיָּ֖שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725,and cameוַיָּבֹ֥אvai.ya.Vo'H935to Achishאָכִֽישׁ׃'a.KhishH397.
