2Thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,I rememberפָּקַ֕דְתִּיpa.Kad.tiH6485thatwhich Amalekעֲמָלֵ֖ק'a.ma.LekH6002didעָשָׂ֥ה'a.SahH6213to Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לle.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,how he laidשָׂ֥םsamH7760waitfor him in the wayבַּדֶּ֔רֶךְba.De.rekhH1870,when he came upבַּעֲלֹת֖וֹba.'a.lo.ToH5927from Egyptמִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

3Now goH3212and smiteוְהִכִּֽיתָ֜הve.hi.ki.TahH5221Amalekעֲמָלֵ֗ק'a.ma.LekH6002,and utterly destroyוְהַֽחֲרַמְתֶּם֙ve.ha.cha.ram.TemH2763all that they have, and spareתַחְמֹ֖לtach.MolH2550them not; but slayוְהֵמַתָּ֞הve.he.ma.TahH4191both manמֵאִ֣ישׁme.'IshH376and womanאִשָּׁ֗ה'i.ShahH802,infantמֵֽעֹלֵל֙me.'o.LelH5768and sucklingיוֹנֵ֔קyo.NekH3243,oxמִשּׁ֣וֹרmi.ShorH7794and sheepשֶׂ֔הSehH7716,camelמִגָּמָ֖לmi.ga.MalH1581and assחֲמֽוֹר׃ סcha.MorH2543.

4And Saulשָׁאוּל֙sha.'UlH7586gatheredH8085the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971togetherH8085,and numberedוַֽיִּפְקְדֵם֙vai.yif.ke.DemH6485them in Telaimבַּטְּלָאִ֔יםba.te.la.'ImH2923,two hundredמָאתַ֥יִםma.Ta.yimH3967thousandאֶ֖לֶף'E.lefH505footmenרַגְלִ֑יrag.LiH7273,and tenוַעֲשֶׂ֥רֶתva.'a.Se.retH6235thousandאֲלָפִ֖ים'a.la.FimH505menאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376of Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063.

5And Saulשָׁא֖וּלsha.'UlH7586cameוַיָּבֹ֥אvai.ya.Vo'H935to a cityעִ֣יר'irH5892of Amalekעֲמָלֵ֑ק'a.ma.LekH6002,and laid waitוַיָּ֖רֶבvai.Ya.revH693 H7378in the valleyבַּנָּֽחַל׃ba.Na.chalH5158.

6And Saulשָׁא֣וּלsha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto the Kenitesהַקֵּינִ֡יha.kei.NiH7017,GoH3212,departסֻּ֨רוּSu.ruH5493,get you downרְד֜וּre.DuH3381from amongמִתּ֣וֹךְmi.TokhH8432the Amalekitesעֲמָלֵֽק׃'a.ma.LekH6002,lest I destroyאֹֽסִפְךָ֙'o.sif.KhaH622you with them: for ye shewedעָשִׂ֤יתָה'a.Si.tahH6213kindnessחֶ֙סֶד֙che.sedH2617to all the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,when they came upבַּעֲלוֹתָ֖םba.'a.lo.TamH5927out of Egyptמִמִּצְרָ֑יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714.So the Kenitesקֵינִ֖יkei.NiH7017departedוַיָּ֥סַרvai.Ya.sarH5493from amongמִתּ֥וֹךְmi.TokhH8432the Amalekitesעֲמָלֵקִ֗י'a.mal.KiH6003.

7And Saulשָׁא֖וּלsha.'UlH7586smoteוַיַּ֥ךְvai.YakhH5221the Amalekitesעֲמָלֵ֑ק'a.ma.LekH6002from Havilahמֵֽחֲוִילָה֙me.cha.vi.LahH2341untilthou comestבּוֹאֲךָ֣bo.'a.KhaH935to Shurשׁ֔וּרShurH7793, that isover againstפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

8And he tookוַיִּתְפֹּ֛שׂvai.yit.PosH8610Agagאֲגַ֥ג'a.GagH90the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of the Amalekitesעֲמָלֵ֖ק'a.ma.LekH6002aliveחָ֑יChaiH2416,and utterly destroyedהֶחֱרִ֥יםhe.che.RimH2763all the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחָֽרֶב׃Cha.revH2719.

9But Saulשָׁא֨וּלsha.'UlH7586and the peopleוְהָעָ֜םve.ha.'AmH5971sparedוַיַּחְמֹל֩vai.yach.MolH2550Agagאֲגָ֗ג'a.GagH90,and the bestמֵיטַ֣בmei.TavH4315of the sheepהַצֹּאן֩ha.tzoNH6629,and of the oxenוְהַבָּקָ֨רve.ha.ba.KarH1241,and of the fatlingsוְהַמִּשְׁנִ֤יםve.ha.mish.NimH4932,and the lambsהַכָּרִים֙ha.ka.RimH3733, and all that wasgoodהַטּ֔וֹבha.TovH2896,and wouldאָב֖וּ'a.VuH14not utterly destroyהַחֲרִימָ֑םha.cha.ri.MamH2763them: but every thingהַמְּלָאכָ֛הha.me.la.KhahH4399that wasvileנְמִבְזָ֥הne.miv.ZahH5240and refuseוְנָמֵ֖סve.na.MesH4549,that they destroyed utterlyהֶחֱרִֽימוּ׃ פhe.che.Ri.muH2763.
