2And Davidדָּוִ֔ידda.VidH1732commandedוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to gather togetherלִכְנוֹס֙likh.nOsH3664the strangersהַגֵּרִ֔יםha.ge.RimH1616that werein the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and he setוַיַּעֲמֵ֣דvai.ya.'a.MedH5975masonsחֹֽצְבִ֗יםcho.tze.VimH2672to hewלַחְצוֹב֙lach.tzOvH2672wroughtגָזִ֔יתga.ZitH1496stonesאַבְנֵ֣י'av.NeiH68to buildלִבְנ֖וֹתliv.NotH1129the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ha.'E.lo.HimH430.
3And Davidדָּוִ֑ידda.VidH1732preparedהֵכִ֣יןhe.KhinH3559ironוּבַרְזֶ֣ל׀u.var.ZelH1270in abundanceלָ֠רֹבla.roH7230for the nailsלַֽמִּסְמְרִ֞יםla.mis.me.RimH4548for the doorsלְדַלְת֧וֹתle.dal.TotH1817of the gatesהַשְּׁעָרִ֛יםha.she.'a.RimH8179,and for the joiningsוְלַֽמְחַבְּר֖וֹתve.lam.cha.be.RotH4226;and brassוּנְחֹ֥שֶׁתu.ne.Cho.shetH5178in abundanceלָרֹ֖בla.RoH7230without weightמִשְׁקָֽל׃mish.KalH4948;

5And Davidדָּוִ֗ידda.VidH1732saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֣הshe.lo.MohH8010my sonבְנִי֮ve.NiH1121isyoungנַ֣עַרNa.'arH5288and tenderוָרָךְ֒va.roKhH7390,and the houseוְהַבַּ֜יִתve.ha.Ba.yitH1004that isto be buildedלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129for the Lordלַיהוָ֗הla.Yah.wehH3068must beexceedingלְמַ֜עְלָהle.Ma'.lahH4605magnificalלְהַגְדִּ֨יל׀le.hag.DilH1431,of fameלְשֵׁ֤םle.ShemH8034and of gloryוּלְתִפְאֶ֙רֶת֙u.le.tif.'E.retH8597throughout all countriesהָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776: I will thereforenow make preparationאָכִ֥ינָה'a.Khi.nahH3559for it. 6Then he calledוַיִּקְרָ֖אvai.yik.Ra'H7121for Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֣הlish.lo.MohH8010his sonבְנ֑וֹve.NoH1121,and chargedוַיְצַוֵּ֙הוּ֙vay.tza.Ve.huH6680him to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129an houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004for the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478.
7And Davidדָּוִ֖ידda.VidH1732saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֑הlish.lo.MohH8010,My sonבְּנִ֕יbe.niH1121,as for me, it was in my mindלְבָבִ֔יle.va.ViH3824to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129an houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004unto the nameלְשֵׁ֖םle.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהָֽי׃'e.lo.HaiH430:
8But the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068came to me, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Thou hast shedשָׁפַ֔כְתָּsha.Fakh.taH8210bloodדָּ֤םdamH1818abundantlyלָרֹב֙la.RoH7230,and hast madeעָשִׂ֑יתָ'a.Si.taH6213greatגְּדֹל֖וֹתge.do.LotH1419warsוּמִלְחָמ֥וֹתu.mil.cha.MotH4421:thou shalt not buildתִבְנֶ֥הtiv.NehH1129an houseבַ֙יִת֙va.yitH1004unto my nameלִשְׁמִ֔יlish.MiH8034,because thou hast shedשָׁפַ֥כְתָּsha.Fakh.taH8210muchרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227bloodדָּמִ֣יםda.MimH1818upon the earthאַ֖רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776in my sightלְפָנָֽי׃le.fa.NaiH6440.
9Behold, a sonבֵ֞ןvenH1121shall be bornנוֹלָ֣דno.LadH3205to thee, who shall be a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of restמְנוּחָ֔הme.nu.ChahH4496;and I will give him restוַהֲנִח֥וֹתִיva.ha.ni.Cho.tiH5117from all his enemiesאוֹיְבָ֖יו'oy.VavH341round aboutמִסָּבִ֑יבmi.sa.VivH5439:for his nameשְׁמ֔וֹshe.MoH8034shall be Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010,and I will giveאֶתֵּ֥ן'e.TenH5414peaceוְשָׁל֥וֹםve.sha.LomH7965and quietnessוָשֶׁ֛קֶטva.She.ketH8253unto Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478in his daysבְּיָמָֽיו׃be.ya.MavH3117.
10He shall buildיִבְנֶ֥הyiv.NehH1129an houseבַ֙יִת֙va.yitH1004for my nameלִשְׁמִ֔יlish.MiH8034;and he shall be my sonלְבֵ֔ןle.VenH1121, and I will behis fatherלְאָ֑בle.'AvH1;and I will establishוַהֲכִ֨ינוֹתִ֜יva.ha.Khi.no.TiH3559the throneכִּסֵּ֧אki.Se'H3678of his kingdomמַלְכוּת֛וֹmal.khu.ToH4438over Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478forעַד־'ad-H5704everעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769.
12Only the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068giveיִֽתֶּן־yi.ten-H5414thee wisdomשֵׂ֣כֶלSe.khelH7922and understandingוּבִינָ֔הu.vi.NahH998,and give thee chargeוִֽיצַוְּךָ֖vi.tza.ve.KhaH6680concerning Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,that thou mayest keepוְלִשְׁמ֕וֹרve.lish.MorH8104the lawתּוֹרַ֖תto.RatH8451of the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃'e.lo.Hei.khaH430.
13Then shalt thou prosperתַּצְלִ֔יחַtatz.Li.achH6743,if thou takest heedתִּשְׁמ֗וֹרtish.MorH8104to fulfilלַעֲשׂוֹת֙la.'a.sOtH6213the statutesהַֽחֻקִּ֣יםha.chu.KimH2706and judgmentsהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔יםha.mish.pa.TimH4941which the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068chargedצִוָּ֧הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872with concerning Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478:be strongחֲזַ֣קcha.ZakH2388,and of good courageוֶאֱמָ֔ץve.'e.MatzH553;dreadתִּירָ֖אti.Ra'H3372not, nor be dismayedתֵּחָֽת׃te.ChatH2865.
14Now, behold, in my troubleבְעָנְיִ֜יve.'a.ne.YiH6040I have preparedהֲכִינ֣וֹתִיha.khi.No.tiH3559for the houseלְבֵית־le.veit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068an hundredמֵֽאָה־me.'ah-H3967thousandאֶ֙לֶף֙'e.lefH505talentsכִּכָּרִ֤יםki.ka.RimH3603of goldזָהָ֞בza.HavH2091,and a thousandאֶ֤לֶף'E.lefH505thousandאֲלָפִים֙'a.la.FimH505talentsכִּכָּרִ֔יםki.ka.RimH3603of silverוְכֶ֗סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701;and of brassוְלַנְּחֹ֤שֶׁתve.la.ne.Cho.shetH5178and ironוְלַבַּרְזֶל֙ve.la.bar.ZelH1270without weightמִשְׁקָ֔לmish.KalH4948;for it is in abundanceלָרֹ֖בla.RoH7230:timberוְעֵצִ֤יםve.'e.TzimH6086also and stoneוַאֲבָנִים֙va.'a.va.NimH68have I preparedהֲכִינ֔וֹתִיha.khi.No.tiH3559;and thou mayest addתּוֹסִֽיף׃to.SifH3254thereto.
15Moreover there areworkmenעֹשֵׂ֣י מְלָאכָ֔ה'o.Sei me.la.KhahH4399H6213with thee in abundanceלָרֹב֙la.RoH7230,hewersחֹצְבִ֕יםcho.tze.VimH2672and workersוְחָרָשֵׁ֥יve.cha.ra.SheiH2796of stoneאֶ֖בֶן'E.venH68and timberוָעֵ֑ץva.'EtzH6086,and all manner of cunning menחָכָ֖םcha.KhamH2450for every manner of workמְלָאכָֽה׃me.la.KhahH4399.
16Of the goldלַזָּהָ֥בla.za.HavH2091,the silverלַכֶּ֛סֶףla.Ke.sefH3701,and the brassוְלַנְּחֹ֥שֶׁתve.la.ne.Cho.shetH5178,and the ironוְלַבַּרְזֶ֖לve.la.bar.ZelH1270, there isno numberמִסְפָּ֑רmis.ParH4557.Ariseק֣וּםkumH6965therefore,and be doingוַעֲשֵׂ֔הva.'a.SehH6213,and the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068be with thee.
18Isnot the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙'e.lo.hei.KhemH430with you? and hath he notgiven you restוְהֵנִ֥יחַve.he.Ni.achH5117on every sideמִסָּבִ֑יבmi.sa.VivH5439?for he hath givenנָתַ֣ןna.TanH5414the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֣יyo.she.VeiH3427of the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776into mine handבְּיָדִ֗יbe.ya.DiH3027;and the landהָאָ֛רֶץha.'A.retzH776is subduedוְנִכְבְּשָׁ֥הve.nikh.be.ShahH3533beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,and beforeוְלִפְנֵ֥יve.lif.NeiH6440his peopleעַמּֽוֹ׃a.MoH5971.
