Judges 1:12-16
12And CalebH3612 saidH559, “To the manH834 who strikes downH5221 Kiriath-sepherH7158 and captures itH3920, I will giveH5414 my daughterH1323 AcsahH5915 in marriageH802.” 13So OthnielH6274 sonH1121 of Caleb’sH3612 youngerH6996H4480 brotherH251 KenazH7073 capturedH3920 the city, and Caleb gaveH5414 his daughterH1323 AcsahH5915 to him in marriageH802.
14One dayH1961 Acsah cameH935 to Othniel and urged himH54961 to askH7592 her fatherH1 for a fieldH7704. When she got offH6795H5921 her donkeyH2543, CalebH3612 askedH559 her, “WhatH4100 do you desire?”
15“GiveH3051 me a blessingH1293,” she answeredH559. “SinceH3588 you have given meH5414 landH776 in the NegevH5045, giveH5414 me springsH1543 of waterH4325 as well.”
So CalebH3612 gaveH5414 her both the upperH5942 and lowerH8482 springsH1543.
16Now the descendantsH1121 of MosesH4872’ father-in-lawH2859, the KeniteH7017, went upH5927 withH854 the menH1121 of JudahH3063 from the CityH5892 of PalmsH85582 to the WildernessH4057 of JudahH3063 in the NegevH5045 near AradH6166. They wentH1980 to liveH3427 amongH854 the peopleH5971.
