Job 15:17-35
17ListenH8085 to me and I will inform youH2331. I will describeH5608 whatH2088 I have seenH2372,18whatH834 was declaredH5046 by wise menH2450 and was notH3808 concealedH3582 from their fathersH1,19to whom aloneH905 the landH776 was givenH5414 when noH3808 foreignerH2114 passedH5674 among themH8432.
20A wickedH7563 man writhes in painH2342 allH3605 hisH1931 daysH3117;only a fewH4557 yearsH8141 are reservedH6845 for the ruthlessH6184.21SoundsH6963 of terrorH6343 fill his earsH241;in his prosperityH7965 the destroyerH7703 attacks himH935.22He despairs ofH3808H539 his returnH7725 fromH4480 darknessH2822;heH1931 is markedH6822 forH413 the swordH2719.23HeH1931 wanders aboutH5074 as foodH3899 for vulturesH346;he knowsH3045H3588H3559 the dayH3117 of darknessH2822 is at handH3027.24DistressH6862 and anguishH4691 terrify himH1204,overwhelming himH8630 like a kingH4428 poisedH6264 to attackH3593.25ForH3588 he has stretched outH5186 his handH3027 againstH413 GodH410and has vaunted himselfH1396 againstH413 the AlmightyH7706,26rushingH7323 headlongH6677 at HimH413with a thickH5672, studdedH1354 shieldH4043.
27ThoughH3588 his faceH6440 is coveredH3680 with fatH2459and his waistlineH3689 bulgesH6213 with fleshH6371H5921,28he will dwellH7931 in ruinedH3582 citiesH5892,in abandonedH3808H3427 housesH1004 destinedH6257 to become rubbleH1530.29He will noH3808 longer be richH6238; his wealthH2428 will notH3808 endureH6965.His possessionsH4512 will notH3808 overspreadH5186 the landH776.30He will notH3808 escapeH5493 fromH4480 the darknessH2822;the flameH7957 will witherH3001 his shootsH3127,and the breathH7307 of God’s mouthH6310will carry him awayH5493.
31Let him notH408 deceive himselfH8582 with trustH539 in emptinessH7723,forH3588 emptinessH7723 will beH1961 his rewardH8545.32It will be paid in fullH4390 beforeH3808 his timeH3117,and his branchH3712 will notH3808 flourishH7488.33He will be like a vineH1612 stripped ofH2554 its unripe grapesH1154,like an olive treeH2132 that shedsH7993 its blossomsH5328.34ForH3588 the companyH5712 of the godlessH2611 will be barrenH1565,and fireH784 will consumeH398 the tentsH168 of briberyH7810.35They conceiveH2029 troubleH5999 and give birth toH3205 evilH205;their wombH990 is pregnant withH3559 deceitH4820.”
