9At this, Boazבֹּ֨עַזBo.'azH1162saidוַיֹּאמֶר֩vai.yo.MerH559to the eldersלַזְּקֵנִ֜יםla.ze.ke.NimH2205and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the peopleהָעָ֗םha.'AmH5971, “Youאַתֶּם֙'a.TemH859are witnessesעֵדִ֤ים'e.DimH5707todayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117thatכִּ֤יkiH3588I am buyingקָנִ֙יתִי֙ka.Ni.tiH7069אֶת־'et-H853fromמִיַּ֖דmi.YadH3027Naomiנָעֳמִֽי׃no.'o.MiH5281allכָּל־kol-H3605thatאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834belonged to Elimelechלֶֽאֱלִימֶ֔לֶךְle.'e.li.Me.lekhH458וְאֵ֛תve.'EtH853כָּל־kol-H3605אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834,Chilionלְכִלְי֖וֹןle.khil.YonH3630,and Mahlonוּמַחְל֑וֹןu.mach.LonH4248.

13So Boazבֹּ֤עַזBo.'azH1162אֶת־'et-H853tookוַיִּקַּ֨חvai.yi.KachH3947Ruthרוּת֙rutH7327,and she becameוַתְּהִי־va.te.hi-H1961hiswifeלְאִשָּׁ֔הle.'i.ShahH802.And when he had relations withוַיָּבֹ֖אvai.ya.Vo'H935herאֵלֶ֑יהָ'e.Lei.haH413,the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068enabledוַיִּתֵּ֨ןvai.yi.TenH5414herto conceiveהֵרָי֖וֹןhe.ra.YonH2032,and she gave birth toוַתֵּ֥לֶדva.Te.ledH3205a sonבֵּֽן׃BenH1121.
14Then the womenהַנָּשִׁים֙ha.na.ShimH802saidוַתֹּאמַ֤רְנָהva.to.Mar.nahH559toאֶֽל־'el-H413Naomiנָעֳמִ֔יno.'o.MiH5281, “Blessedבָּר֣וּךְba.RukhH1288bethe LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,whoאֲ֠שֶׁר'a.SherH834has notלֹ֣אlo'H3808leftהִשְׁבִּ֥יתhish.BitH7673youthis dayהַיּ֑וֹםhai.YomH3117without a kinsman-redeemerגֹּאֵ֖לgo.'ElH1350.May his nameשְׁמ֖וֹshe.MoH8034become famousוְיִקָּרֵ֥אve.yi.ka.Re'H7121in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃be.Yis.ra.'ElH3478.
15He will renewוְהָ֤יָה לְמֵשִׁ֣יבve.Ha.yah le.me.ShivH1961H7725yourlifeנֶ֔פֶשׁNe.feshH5315and sustain youוּלְכַלְכֵּ֖לu.le.khal.KelH3557אֶת־'et-H853in your old ageשֵׂיבָתֵ֑ךְsei.va.TekhH7872.Forכִּ֣יkiH3588your daughter-in-lawכַלָּתֵ֤ךְkha.la.TekhH3618,whoאֲֽשֶׁר־'asher-H834lovesאֲהֵבַ֙תֶךְ֙'a.he.Va.tekhH157you and is betterט֣וֹבָהToahH2896to you thansevenמִשִּׁבְעָ֖הmi.shiv.'AhH7651sonsבָּנִֽים׃ba.NimH1121,has given him birthיְלָדַ֔תּוּye.la.Da.tuH3205אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834הִיא֙hi'H1931.”
17The neighborהַשְּׁכֵנ֥וֹתha.she.khe.NotH7934women saidלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “A sonבֵּ֖ןbenH1121has been bornיֻלַּד־yu.lad-H3205to Naomiוַתִּקְרֶאנָה֩ שֵׁם֙ לְנָעֳמִ֑יva.tik.re.Nah shem le.no.'o.MiH5281H7121H8034,”and they namedוַתִּקְרֶ֤אנָֽהva.tik.Re.nahH7121himשְׁמוֹ֙she.MoH8034Obedעוֹבֵ֔דo.VedH5744.Heה֥וּאhu'H1931becamethe fatherאֲבִי־'a.vi-H1of Jesseיִשַׁ֖יyi.ShaiH3448,the fatherאֲבִ֥י'a.ViH1of Davidדָוִֽד׃ פda.VidH1732.
